Help guide

Using the Standards Hub for ISO preparation, Cyber Essentials readiness and document control.

This guide shows how standards support fits around the calendar, evidence vault and reports your team already uses, without turning every register and review queue into one crowded workspace.

What Obligary does

Obligary helps you organise management-system records, assign work, store evidence, schedule reviews and report the current picture.

Supports certification preparation

Keeps review dates visible

Links tasks, evidence and records

Where Obligary fits

Obligary is the workspace for your organisation's records, tasks, evidence and review rhythm. Certification decisions remain with your chosen certification body, and professional advice can be captured as actions, documents and evidence inside Obligary.

Preparation and maintenance records

Keep owners, due dates, approvals and evidence organised before internal or external reviews.

Your own documents and evidence

Store policies, procedures, notes, decisions and evidence in a structured workspace.

Controlled documents

Controlled documents are the policies, procedures, SOPs, forms and templates that tell people how work should be done. Use them when you need ownership, review dates, approval history and version control.

Evidence records

Evidence records prove that something happened. Examples include completed checks, meeting minutes, certificates, audit notes, incident photos and signed approvals.

Management Review Room

Management reviews are where the system is challenged and improved. The Room tab turns the review record into a meeting workspace: review live inputs, capture decisions, create follow-up actions, attach evidence and check readiness before closing the review.

Open room guide

Inputs

Review open tasks, objectives, audit oversight, document pressure and evidence health before decisions are made.

Decisions

Record attendees, inputs considered, decisions and minutes in plain operational language.

Actions

Assign follow-up work, link it back to the source input and sync to the calendar where reminders are needed.

Close

Confirm decisions, evidence and actions are ready before the review can be marked complete.

How the Standards Hub is organised

The Standards Hub is split into views so users can choose the right working mode. Start with the view that matches the job in front of you, then open the record, document, task or report from there.

Focus

The daily view for open reviews, corrective actions, linked tasks and short next-step prompts.

Setup

A guided place for pack profiles, starter records, ISO Core prompts and the shared routines behind each pack.

Portfolio

A standards and document-control view for certification stage, owners, key dates and review queues.

Areas

The quickest route into controlled documents, ISO Core and each specialist ISO workspace.

Recommended setup order

Start small. Add the records that support the way you work today, then build out each pack as your management routines become more established.

1

Open the Standards Hub and start with Focus to see work that already needs attention.

2

Use Setup to save the pack profile first: certification stage, existing evidence, owner, key dates, pack focus questions and whether work should be integrated with other enabled standards. Draft answers are saved so setup can be continued later.

3

Create or refresh starter records after the profile is saved so the pack has practical records, review dates and linked calendar tasks. Refreshing is safe: matching starter records are skipped, and active linked tasks are updated from the latest setup profile instead of duplicated.

4

Use Continue setup or Restart from the setup modal if the user leaves part-way through or wants to re-answer the setup questions.

5

Add controlled documents for policies, procedures and templates that need owners, version history and approval records.

6

Use Areas when you need to work inside ISO Core or a specialist pack such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22301 or ISO 50001.

7

Open the Room tab on a planned management review to pull together tasks, evidence health, objectives, audits, findings, documents, decisions and follow-up actions, then download the review pack for the meeting or audit file.

8

Complete a management review from the Room tab once decisions or minutes are captured, evidence is linked, actions have owners and open actions are either calendar-tracked or acknowledged for manual follow-up.

9

Use Portfolio when you want to check enabled standards, certification dates, document reviews and recent activity before a review conversation.

Using ISO 22301 and ISO 50001 packs

The specialist packs create starter records rather than finished management systems. Treat them as a structured workspace for owners, dates, notes, actions and evidence, then add your organisation's own procedures, adviser input and review outcomes as the pack matures.

Recommended working rhythm

Start from the starter records, assign owners, link evidence, create tasks for gaps and use the ISO report before reviews. The value comes from keeping the records current, not from creating everything on day one.

Business continuity

ISO 22301 Business Continuity

Use this pack to keep continuity planning visible: critical activities, dependencies, recovery priorities, response roles, exercises and improvement actions.

Starter records

  • Business impact analysis and critical activities
  • Continuity strategies and dependencies
  • Response roles, escalation and communication plan
  • Continuity and recovery plans
  • Exercise programme and lessons learned review

User workflow

  1. 1Enable the add-on from Settings, then open Standards Hub > ISO 22301.
  2. 2Use the Business impact analysis, Plans, Exercises and Incidents tabs to keep each continuity record in the right register.
  3. 3Create the ISO 22301 starter set to populate business impact analysis, continuity plan and exercise records with owners and review dates.
  4. 4Attach supporting evidence from each record detail page, such as impact analysis notes, plan approvals, exercise results, supplier dependency notes and recovery test outcomes.
  5. 5Use the Update tab on each record to create linked calendar tasks for gaps or improvements, then close the task when the plan or evidence has been updated.

Reporting and evidence checks

Use Reports > ISO to review business impact analysis records, continuity plans, exercises, incidents, linked ISO tasks and evidence coverage before management reviews, customer questions or adviser check-ins.

Energy management

ISO 50001 Energy Management

Use this pack to keep energy-management work organised: energy review, significant energy uses, baselines, objectives, controls, obligations and performance checks.

Starter records

  • Initial energy review
  • Significant energy uses
  • Energy baselines and performance indicators
  • Objectives and energy action plans
  • Operational controls, obligations and monitoring review

User workflow

  1. 1Enable the add-on from Settings, then open Standards Hub > ISO 50001.
  2. 2Use the Energy uses, Readings, Objectives and Actions tabs to separate significant uses, monitoring data and improvement work.
  3. 3Create the ISO 50001 starter set to populate energy-use, reading and objective records with owners, baselines and review dates.
  4. 4Attach supporting evidence from each record detail page, such as meter exports, energy review notes, baseline calculations, objective updates, action-plan evidence and supplier or maintenance records.
  5. 5Create linked tasks where performance needs follow-up, then update the record once the action or measurement has been reviewed.

Reporting and evidence checks

Use Reports > ISO to review significant energy uses, readings, objectives, actions, linked tasks, evidence coverage and upcoming reviews before operational meetings or management reviews.

Document control guide

Understand document owners, review workflow, approval and acknowledgement tracking.

A focused guide for review inputs, decisions, actions, evidence and close-out readiness.

Settings add-ons

Owners and admins can enable controlled documents and ISO packs for the workspace.
